Applications for H-1B visas far outstrip availability

Georgia residents may be interested to learn that based on figures released for fiscal 2016, there have been nearly three times as many applicants for H-1B visas as there are spaces available. The H-1B visa is designed for professionals in computer programming, engineering and science, and the visas are granted by a lottery system.

Applying for a green card as a broadcaster

A foreign-born individual who would like to move to Georgia in order to work as a broadcaster might qualify for a green card. Each year, 100 visas are granted to foreigners who either work for or have received a grant from the International Broadcasting Bureau of the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
