Naturalization Test Updated
The test required as part of the naturalization process has been redesigned by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (”USCIS”). According to USCIS, the new test has a greater “emphasis on the fundamental concepts of American democracy and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship” and that the new test “will help encourage citizenship applicants to learn and identify with the basic values we all share as Americans.” Source: www.uscis.gov
The new test will begin to be administered on October 1, 2008 and will be phased in according to a table available at www.uscis.gov.
