Extension of TPS re-registration period for Honduras & Nicaragua

The USCIS has extended the re-registration period for TPS for Honduran and Nicaraguan nationals until December 30, 2008.  The release from the USCIS states, in part:

Somalia

According to the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, temporary protective status for nationals of Somalia is currently designated through September 17, 2009. The most recent TPS re-registration period ran from March 12, 2008 to May 12, 2008 and Employment Authorization Documents are automatically extended through September 17, 2008.

Burundi

Temporary protected status will no longer be available for nationals of Burundi as of 12:01am on May 2, 2009.  The most recent TPS re-registration period ran from October 29, 2007 to December 28, 2007 and Employment Authorization Documents are automatically extended through May 2, 2008.

Sudan

According to the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, temporary protective status for nationals of Sudan is currently designated through May 2, 2010. The most recent TPS re-registration period ran from August 14, 2008 to October 14, 2008 and Employment Authorization Documents are automatically extended through May 2, 2008.

El Salvador

According to the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services, temporary protective status for nationals of El Salvador is currently designated through March 9, 2009. The most recent TPS re-registration period ran from August 21, 2007, to October 22, 2007 and Employment Authorization Documents are automatically extended through March 9, 2008.
